Q: What kind of services do you offer?

A: I create text (let’s call it “copy”) for all kinds of marketing material. I can help you craft the perfect copy for your website, brochures, mailers, flyers, email campaigns, newsletters, or blog. Even if it’s something out of the ordinary, I might just be interested.

I’ve assisted clients with everything from the typical SEO web content or blog article to business letters, email responses (both automated and direct), creating slogans and beyond. I love a challenge and welcome the chance to create meaningful content that helps businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals express their thoughts and feelings.

Q: I have ideas about what I need, but I am not sure how to execute them. Can you help me with that?

A: Yes. Regardless of what stage in the content creation cycle you’re at, I can help you. I have a special fact-finding process to help you begin thinking more concretely about what you want and share your thoughts and vision with me in a very clear format that allows me to get the information I need and understand what you want more thoroughly.

Even if you are at the very beginning and not sure what kind of content you will need, what tone or brand voice you want for the copy, or how much content should be created, that’s what I am here for. Together we’ll create a plan that hits all the right notes and results in content you love that sounds like you (or your brand), engages your target audience, and reads beautifully. Promise.

Q: I need something finished quickly. What’s your turnaround time?

A: My turnaround time depends on two things: how booked I (already) am during the time you’re hoping to get rush work completed, and what the project entails. I work with clients on all kinds of projects from short, one-off blog articles to revising or creating entire websites worth of content.

Once you contact me and share more information about the specifics of your immediate copywriting needs and your ideal timeline, I will send you an estimate of how long it will take. Let me know that you are interested in hiring me for RUSH work and I will send you two quotes – one for working on my regular schedule, and one for meeting your desired timeline (if possible).

Q: Can you help me with my content strategy too?

A: Of course. I assist clients with content strategy all the time. I offer two means of building this kind of relationship. We can work together for a set period, and I will deliver materials, templates, calendars, and guides to you at the end so you can implement the content creation part yourself. Or, I can set you up as a retainer client, and we can work together indefinitely to create all those same key materials, only instead of you having to do the work and implement the strategies, I will do it for you.

Q: Do you offer social media management services?

A: At this time, I do not offer social media management. I will create social media blasts for you and I can advise you on strategies for when and how frequently to post on various platforms, but I don’t offer management in a formal sense. However, I am associated with some wonderful freelancers all over the U.S. and can most likely point you to someone who may be able to help with more of the day-to-day logistics.

Q: How much does it cost to work with you?

A: Your investment in our work together varies based on the depth of service you want. I offer everything from high-level, skimming the surface type of consultations and editing to full-service content and strategy creation. I understand not every client or job is exactly alike and my pricing reflects that.

I use two forms of invoicing for projects, hourly and fixed price. I will make a suggestion based on whatever I think will be the most practical for both of us depending on what kind of project you’re interested in, the timeline, and your desired level of engagement.

Q: What kind of payments do you take?

A: I accept all credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. I use an accounting software called 17Hats to invoice clients and process payments. All electronic payments are routed through Stripe, a very secure and reputable payment processor.

On rare occasions, I will accept checks, but only for retainer clients, and only after our business relationship has been established.

Q: Are there any industries you specialize in writing for?

A: Here’s the canned response (which is accurate, even if it’s cliché ) “I write for all kinds of businesses across a wide variety of industries.” But, yes, I do specialize in particular fields, and those are marketing, sales, real estate, finance, insurance, legal, technology, and lifestyle.

Q: What’s your background?

A: I have been writing professionally for about seven years. I became a freelance copywriter after years of working in administration and marketing and realizing that my favorite part of every job I have ever held was the writing. Somehow, some way, my employers always found out I love to write (maybe it was all those eloquent emails) and put me in charge of creating content in one capacity or another.

Every opportunity I was given to create copy was SO MUCH FUN and eventually I figured out not only do I love writing, but I am good at it. So I made it my full-time job. It also doesn’t hurt that I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management and Minor in Psychology, both have proven to be invaluable and helped fuel my success. You can learn more about me here.
